The collaboration between Angelini Design and Eni for the study and design of all the covers of institutional publications continues. The latest edition is the “O&G World Oil and Gas Review 2014”, an annual statistical analysis of the global oil and gas market and the refinery system.
The creative concept that guides the art direction of the cover and the four sections in which the content is divided is once again a sculpture, designed by the Angelini atelier and manufactured by the craftsmen of Fubelli.
The sculpture offers an abstract interpretation of the subject matter. Oil and gas are respectively depicted as undulating sheets of green and red polypropylene, the dynamic heart of the piece. Two metallic orbits revolve around the sculpture, representing the idea of research, surrounded by four small geometric elements that symbolize the subject of each chapter of the publication.
Each symbol is treated with artistic close-ups through different perspectives that highlight the graphic and architectural style of the sculpture and the texture of its materials.
