Garofalo, the pasta factory in Gragnano born in 1789, is one of the biggest pasta producers in the world. According to the wishes of its founder and the current owners, the company has always combined tradition and technology, producing various types of pasta of the highest quality with an unmistakable taste. Angelini Design has accompanied Garofalo in many avant-garde projects, from the creation of highly distinctive product packaging up to the promotion of activities and events that highlight the exclusive character of this historic brand. Garofalo could therefore never miss the primary event for gourmets throughout the world, the Salone del Gusto of 2012 in Turin.
With an exposition space of 70 thousand square meters, the main objective is to distinguish yourself and be noticed: for this reason the set-up of the Garofalo stand by Angelini Design was accented with an elegant black and white palette and the use of simple materials with a strong visual impact. At the center of the exposition space are two kitchens, inserted in minimalist cubes signed Garofalo; this is where the dishes are made, which the guests can taste on the small tables set with customized tablecloths with aphorisms inspired by “Gente del Fud”, the community created by Garofalo for the protection and diffusion of traditional products.
The stand is delimited by prints setting the appropriate mood, that symbolize the world Garofalo references, along with educational texts on quality nutrition. A special touch is given by the lighting of the stand, thanks to lamps made out of colanders hanging from the ceiling by yellow electrical cables that resemble spaghetti: the true symbol of the Mediterranean diet.
