Stepping up with Fall In Thai

Stepping up with Fall In Thai

In recent years, the Fall In Thai restaurant has attracted attention in Shanghai for their Thai-style hot pot in the city’s upscale Mixc shopping mall. With their growing success, Fall In Thai are opening a second restaurant, in the iAPM luxury shopping mall, and have decided to revise their brand, targeting young, style-conscious customers that value quality.

While the first Fall In Thai restaurant was more traditional and identifiably Thai in its design and decor, the new restaurant is lush and modern, making use of varied textures, along with natural materials and colors, in keeping with the restaurant’s approach to food. With this look in mind, Fall In Thai has given Angelini Design the task of redesigning their logo and identity, creating a contemporary, distinctive, and more international icon for the brand.

Angelini Design has centered the logo around the national symbol of Thailand: the elephant. Admired for its strength, endurance, and intelligence, the elephant is a sacred animal in Thai culture, believed to bring good fortune. It is portrayed in the graphic with minimal, essential lines. Surrounding the image is a series of rings, representing wholeness and timelessness: a shape with no clear beginning or end. The Thai-inspired characters below the image maintain the restaurant’s connection with tradition while the English typography affirms their stance as an international brand. The bold, modernized logo is at once enticing and indelible, bringing Fall In Thai into the future.
